A commercial building technology provider with offices in Longwood has leased more than 10,000 square feet of office space for its Jacksonville headquarters as the growing company requires more space.
JSC Systems, which has been in business for 55 years, leased the first floor of a Southpoint office building at 4237 Salisbury Road for its corporate offices, not far from its Jacksonville branch at 5201 Stepp Ave.
Over the past three years, JSC has more than doubled in size, growing the staff by about 60%, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dale Ayers told the Business Journal. The new lease separated the corporate headquarters and the Jacksonville branch office space.
The company's Orlando branch is responsible for communications and safety tech installations at Orlando International Airport, Indian River Memorial Hospital, Orange County Courthouse, Orange County Convention Center, Villages Regional Hospital and Celebration HealthCare.
JSC Systems Orlando — which has a location at 1985 Corporate Square in Longwood — specializes in installing fire alarm, access control, security, CCTV, nurse call, sound and AV systems.
“With having such a long-term presence in the market, we’ve got a good understanding of major players in the marketplace and how we can provide some value-added services,” Ayers said.
Tyler Saldutti of Prime Realty owns the building the headquarters moved into. He said his firm has waited for a tenant who would lease an entire floor, and JSC Systems was large enough for that.
Brent Dennis and Conrad Boylan of Prime Realty represented the landlord and tenant in the lease, which the company signed in December.
Between the time of signing the lease and moving in, the company did a renovation to add offices to accommodate all its corporate employees, Ayers said.
JSC also works in regions like Gainesville and the Panhandle and is expanding into Southwest Florida. Outside of Florida, it’s expanding in North and South Carolina.
